Monarch Candle Company is a family-owned and operated American brand, beginning as a family dream in the heart of Michigan. Founded in 2009 as Holly Candle Shoppe, we welcomed guests into two charming boutique locations, sharing our passion for fine candles until 2016. After years devoted to perfecting our craft and deepening our artistry, we reemerged in October 2025 with a renewed vision: to create luxurious, sustainable candles that elevate everyday moments with mindful elegance and exceptional quality. What makes Monarch Candle different from all other candle companies?

Monarch Candle was created with a singular purpose: to craft candles that elevate both space and spirit. Each piece is hand-poured in small batches, using a paraffin-free soy blend, clean fragrances, and reinforced cotton wicks to deliver an exceptionally slow, even burn.

Our fragrances are built around memory and atmosphere, designed to transport, to comfort, and to create moments worth returning to. With minimalist design, refined texture, and fully recyclable packaging, Monarch brings quiet luxury into the everyday.

Where can I buy Monarch Candles near me?

At this time, our candles are exclusively available online at monarchcandle.shop. We are delighted to announce that we will soon be expanding to select luxury retailers and specialty boutiques across North America.

How can I get more information about becoming a wholesale customer?

We are delighted to partner with select specialty boutiques and luxury gift stores. Wholesale applications are being accepted now for Q1 2026. If you are interested in partnering with us, we encourage you to visit our wholesale page to sign up.

Can I visit your company in Michigan to pickup my order?

With our new focus as Monarch Candle Company, we are dedicated to offering a seamless online shopping experience. As we no longer have a physical retail location, we are unable to offer local pickup at this time. We invite you to explore our full collection online and select the shipping option that best suits your needs.

Do you offer bulk discounts for weddings, events, and/or corporate gifts?

Absolutely! Please contact us to discuss your event and bulk pricing. 

What forms of payment do you accept online?

Our website accepts all major credit cards, as well as Apple Pay, Venmo, PayPal and ShopPay.

If you are experiencing trouble entering a promo code, there are several reasons why it may not be working. It may have expired, been entered incorrectly, or is limited to one per order. All packages are shipped from our Michigan location through UPS. A tracking number will be sent to your email as soon as your order has been dispatched, allowing you to easily monitor its progress on our tracking page.

Are your products made in the USA?

Absolutely. Every scented product we make is meticulously crafted in small batches at our Michigan location, using wax and fine oils sourced from trusted domestic artisans. Each vessel is selected from distinguished global makers and presented in recyclable packaging, honoring both tradition and refinement.

Do your candles contain paraffin wax?

We do NOT use paraffin wax! Each of our scented creations is made from a high-performance natural wax blend, thoughtfully composed with soy wax for its purity and sustainability. This exceptional wax carries every fragrance with enduring elegance, delivering a burn as radiant and refined as the aroma it unveils.

Do your candles contain essential oils?

Inspired by nature, our fragrances are crafted from carefully chosen ingredients that unfold with lasting depth and elegance. Each creation offers a sophisticated and memorable aroma, designed to elevate any space.

Are scented candles safe?

We believe that every candle should offer a clean, safe, and beautiful burn. As affirmed by the National Candle Association, carefully crafted candles, whether scented or unscented, meet the highest safety standards. Though questions sometimes arise about synthetic versus “natural” fragrances, all materials approved for candle use are safe, non-toxic, and designed to deliver a lasting, luxurious experience.

What kind of wicks do you use in your candles?

Our candles feature wicks crafted from pure cotton, as well as thoughtfully designed blends of cotton and paper for an even burn. We never use metal in our wicks, ensuring a clean, lead-free flame for a safe and elevated candle experience.

What is the lifespan of your scented products?

Crafted from natural ingredients, our candles are meant to be savored at their peak. As their fragrance gently softens over time, we recommend burning within one year to enjoy their purest expression.

How long should I burn a candle?

Limit burn time to 3 to 4 hours for regular-sized candles to prevent overheating.

Total burn times can vary between candles, but as a rule, always extinguish the flame if it draws too close to the vessel.

Do Monarch Digital Gift Cards Expire?

Our digital gift cards remain valid for two years from the date of purchase. This generous window is intentionally designed to offer the quiet luxury of time: allowing your recipient to explore our collection at their leisure and select the pieces that align with their most refined moments. It’s an indulgent grace period that preserves the exclusivity of the gift while ensuring the experience feels impeccably considered. Should any assistance be needed, our team is always ready to help.

How does the Black Friday Special work?

The Black Friday Special is an automatic discount. When you add three or more Luxury Candles to your cart, you’ll automatically receive $10 off each Luxury Candle in your cart, including the 4th, 5th, and beyond. There’s no code to enter and no limit to how many Luxury Candles qualify.

The Black Friday Special is not valid on our specially priced curated bundles.

Do I need to buy in sets of three?

No, this offer is not structured as a bundle.

As long as you have three or more Luxury Candles in your cart, the discount applies to each one individually.

Does this offer include votives, melts, or other collections?

No, the Black Friday savings apply exclusively to Luxury Candles.

Votives, wax melts, bundles, accessories, and other collections are not included.

Will the discount show in my cart?

Yes, once the third Luxury Candle is added, you’ll see $10 off each qualifying candle automatically applied.

Can I combine this with other promotions?

This offer cannot be combined with other discounts or promo codes.

However, free shipping on orders over $100 still applies.
